If you enjoy exploring Orlando’s attractions, Medieval Times should be on your list. It’s about a two hour show and we arrived a little early and enjoyed peeking around inside the castle. There’s also a Special Offers section on their site that has some great deals. We cheered for the blue knight with the paper crowns and flappy flags that come at each seat. You’re sat in a section that roots for a certain knight. The costumes are full fledged fun and there’s a story that carries the night along. Knights on horseback give this place such an authentic feel. It was so cool to see metal weapons striking each other and giving off sparks as the audience roared. I’m not much into violence but these carefully crafted sequences were filled with showmanship and felt like an awesome performance. The highlight of the show for me was watching the knights fight with super cool/scary weapons. Adult beverages are also available for an additional cost. I had Pepsi with my meal and coffee with dessert. It was actually fun! I liked the pacing of the meal as one thing came out at a time. I slurped tomato bisque soup, munched garlic bread, enjoyed roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes and the pastry of the Castle just fine. For a girl that eats pizza and chicken fingers with a fork and knife, I really took a leap out of the comfort zone that night. “Um,” I squeaked to the server, “would I be able to get silverware if I needed it?” He reassured me that I could but sort of told me that I’d be missing out on the experience. I had actually forgotten about this detail until I sat down and noticed the absence on the left side of my place setting. There aren’t forks and knives at Medieval Times. I had heard of the meal being utensil free, like it was in the time period, but I couldn’t fathom it. If you know nothing about Medieval Times, here’s an interesting detail for you. The theming is fantastic and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside the castle. For me the show began when we walked in the door. The meal is like an authentic 11th century feast and the show includes jousting, fighting with medieval weapons, horses and more. ![]() Being called “my lady” regularly at Medieval Times ( and even on their social media platforms!) made me feel quite fancy and the whole experience was like an evening in the past.Įasily put, Medieval Times is dinner and a show. I have a slight major obsession with British aristocratic history, English history and history in general. ![]() Medieval Times is one of Central Florida’s classic attractions and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve heard about it for years, watched the Osbournes go to one on MTV and driven passed it many times to get to the neighboring Give Kids The World Village.
